Baseball and Baseball Promotional Activities at the Game
[ send me this report ]
This 24 page report discusses the fact that any baseball organization's front office staff of any baseball club must be well aware of the factors that motivate people to attend a baseball game. It is equally important to plan promotional events and special giveaway nights with those specific motivators in mind. Giveaways attract a wide range of people who would not normally consider themselves baseball fans and that is just the point. Marketing and promotion specialists must be willing to take some risks in order to have truly significant results. Bibliography lists 12 sources. BWbbpro.wps

Baseball During The American Civil War
[ send me this report ]
5 pages in length. Baseball during the American Civil War represented everything that the war did not: It was a way in which soldiers and ranking commanders could return being just men as much as it was critical time spent regaining one's mental and emotional balance amidst overwhelming conflict. Albert Doubleday – a name synonymous with baseball – was a Civil War General who, historians have determined, was not the original founder of America's most popular sporting game. That notwithstanding, Doubleday's involvement in baseball's Civil War presence is what has come to represent the start of a national tradition. Bibliography lists 7 sources.

Baseball v. Football
[ send me this report ]
A 3 page research paper that discusses the history of baseball and football and the perception that baseball is a more rural game, a more traditional game than football. Football is pictured as being faster, tougher, more urban, and, simply, more modern than the sport once deemed the "national past time." An examination of sports history demonstrates how these perceptions originated and that their validity is largely no longer applicable to these sports today. Bibliography lists 3 sources.

Baseball: Korean Influence
[ send me this report ]
4 pages in length. Baseball, America's hometown sport, has experienced a metamorphosis of cultural infusion since the early 1980s when a very large, very talented Mexican by the name of Fernando Valenzuela joined up as a pitcher with the Los Angeles Dodgers. After shutting out the Houston Astros in his first major league game, the country was swept with "Fernandomania," a grand reception for a foreign-born baseball player who single-handedly opened the door for all other international players to follow. Korean Pitcher Chan Ho Park, like his predecessor two decades before, also signed with the Dodgers but without benefit of any past professional experience. This critical detail did not impose upon Parks' ability to make a tremendous impression on the owners and the crowd alike, inasmuch as he inevitably made his first appearance on the season's opening day, 1994, a distinction that also cast him as major league's first Korean player. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Biomechanics of the Tennis Forehand Stroke
[ send me this report ]
A 5 page paper discussing the kinesiology and the mechanics of the forehand swing in tennis. It is crucial that the player combines understanding of the two aspects of the swing to achieve the greatest results possible. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
